GOATWHORE Sign With METAL BLADE RECORDS - July 20, 2004 GOATWHORE, the New Orleans-based band featuring vocalist L. Ben Falgoust II (SOILENT GREEN) and guitarist Sammy Duet (ACID BATH, CROWBAR), have signed a deal with Metal Blade Records. "We are all very excited about this and will be doing a new album with Metal Blade Records in mid-2005," the band said in a statement. "This is a very big step for us and will surely open up new doors for us to expand."

In other news, GOATWHORE have announced the addition of drummer Zack Simmons to the group's ranks. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Zack "has been here since the beginning of June and has played one show (Scott Williams Benefit show) with us since his arrival," the band said.

Regarding GOATWHORE's upcoming touring activities, the group commented, "We have a very filled touring schedule 'hopefully' coming to a town near you. First off, we will be heading out from July 23rd to August 17th with THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, CATTLE DECAPITATION, and WATCH THEM DIE. Then we will hit the road with the DEICIDE, CATTLE DECAPTIATION, and DIABOLIC from September 16th to October 12th leading into some dates with NAPALM DEATH and VADER that will take us to our end of the year tour with CANNIBAL CORPSE, NAPALM DEATH, VADER and KATAKLYSM in November."

GOATWHORE recently recorded a cover of CELTIC FROST's "Into Crypts of Rays" for a split 7" with EPOCH OF UNLIGHT (from Memphis, TN). The single, which also features EPOCH OF UNLIGHT's version of KREATOR's "Betrayer", is now available through Bloated Goat Records. Click here for audio samples of both tracks. In addition, Rotten Records has released a vinyl gatefold version of "The Eclipse of Ages Into Black". It is a limited release of 1,000 copies (500 copies of black vinyl and 500 copies on clear red vinyl). To order, go to www.rottenrecords.com.

The new drummers band was called Dejection. 2 members quit high school because they thought it was gonna go somewhere. Now they are rotting at home. Fun stuff.

He just couldnt handle all the excessive touring with his current lifestyle, so he got replaced, for the sake of Goatwhore tearing shit up.

Kevin Talley, quit Misery Index again recently to join Chimera, $$$$, hes going to have some fun with that, but when I was hanging out with him at Ryan Butlers house he was skeptikal about joining, then the ex Soilwork drummer quit the band and he took the opportunity. At least he can afford to live on the road now.

So what the suck is the ex-soilwork drummers problem quiting all of these bands every year. The guy must have some issues.

That is a real shame about Talley. Chimaira sucks ass. I came very close to falling asleep last time I saw them.
Misery Index killed when I saw them with Talley in San Antonio. It was cool, 'cause Talley's whole family was there. His mom brought a giant cooler full of beer, and was giving it to everyone that was there! She wouldn't let anyone be empty handed for more than 5 seconds. Granted, there were only like 15 people there.

Thats cool, yeah Talley came from that area, San Antonio I think, but yeah he joined the band. Oh yeah I found an interview where he gives us props, http://oswegoalumni.oswego.edu/jeff/metalfanatix/interviews/dyingfetus.html

8. What current bands do you like or respect?
Kevin Talley: VEHEMENCE is a new band out of AZ. and are fucking awesome. I also like CRYPTOPSY, SKINLESS, VILE, and other shit too.
