at 4040 will do the job nicely. the 4060 is really nice as well if you want a tube
mic. you can get the 4040s all day long way under 300usd. good luck.
Thanks guys!......another question, I'm looking to buy a pair of mics for overheads in the price range of 400 euros, I thinking at rode nt5 stereo pair, but I hear some people are not really satisfied with them........haow do you think?
I'd go for the Oktava MK012s myself...just bought myself a pair and I'm delighted with them. Thomann are doing them for 300€ for a matched pair and I don't think you'll get much better for the price.
Well my plan soon is to get a pair of AT4040's for OH's, and just use one for vox...the economical solution, but I've heard that 4040s are totally tits for either job, so that's what I'm shooting for.
Yeah, the Oktava's were just a suggestion for Tachy's overheads question Vocal wise personally I've got a Red5 RV6 condenser, which I haven't used properly in my studio yet but it's received very good reviews for a £50 mic. I've also got my trusty old SM58 to fall back on too
