Good monitors!

Hello everybody!

I'm looking for some good monitors for mixing/mastering! I'm using the maudio bx8a and I want a 2nd pair! I dont want to spend 1000 dollars for a new pair. Lets keept it under 300$!

Can anyone help me out?

You prolly wont get anything better than the bx's for under $300. $350 will score you a set of Yamaha MSP5's on eBay. Awesome monitors. Very flat and accurate with a surprisingly low bass response for a 5" speaker.

What about the ALESIS M1 ACTIVE 520's?

Sorry I just don't understand the reason to buy a 2nd pair of monitors that will be inferior to the set you already have... just save your money and get a nicer pair than the BX8a's.

More isn't always better. If you're concerned with translation, just burn a mix to CD and listen on as many systems as you can.
