you know I have "Isola" but it's been a good year since last I listened to it... it didn't struck me that much, apart for the first song (title?) which reminded me a lot of Indian Summer-era Landberk (what a fantastic band this one...)
(the first song is "livräddaren" or "lifesavers". i like it even though i don't count it among the best tracks on the album.)

do you have the english or swedish version of isola?
the "problem" with kent is i think a lot of the magic is lost when they turn to english. for me kent_songs_are_in_swedish, end of discussion. not that i think they're bad otherwise, but it just doesn't work nearly as well. which obviously makes it quite easy for me to see why non-swedes wouldn't see what's so great about them (while there is no excuse for child of time and his like-minded :p).

well, i'd say; give tracks # 2, 5 and 8 a spin when you don't have anything better to do...

oh, and i've got to check those landberk out.

To those who are into Dark Wave it's probably old news, but if you dont know this band, check them out

(In case you wondered, it's NV, I had my nick changed :p)

Del: Kent-lines like "...käka socker till du spyr..." ("...eat sugar until you puke...") doesn't impress me, no. :D
("ät fett och socker tills du spyr". huuuuge difference. :D )

pffff. taking a single line out of its context is really fair, you... you... you... you takingsinglelinesoutoftheircontext-er.

besides, if mr. berg's lyrics made any sense we couldn't be all deep and intellectual by pretending to understand them, you know.

actually, i prefer what i've heard of deine lakaien when they're not darkwave (live material with only "classical" sounding piano and vocals, that is). for some reason, their studio albms never did much to me. or haven't so far, at least.
