Some folks are born made to wave the flag,
ooh, they're red, white and blue.
And when the band plays "Hail To The Chief",
oh, they point the cannon at you, Lord,

It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no senator's son,
It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate one, no,

Some folks are born silver spoon in hand,
Lord, don't they help themselves, oh.
But when the taxman come to the door,
Lord, the house look a like a rummage sale, yes,

It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no millionaire's son.
It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate one, no.

Yeh, some folks inherit star spangled eyes,
ooh, they send you down to war, Lord,
And when you ask them, how much should we give,
oh, they only answer, more, more, more,

It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no military son,
It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate one,

It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate one, no no no,
It ain't me, it ain't me,
I ain't no fortunate son, no no no,

Been listening to Apulanta's hits the last few days...I don't really like greatest hits albums or collections usually but just can't be bothered downloading the whole albums what with my harddrive situation...used 120Gb on music, movies and anime. :/
Not actually listening to Ei Yhtään Todistajaa anymore...my friend plays too short turns in Heroes 3 for me to ever be able to finish this message.
It's probably 10 minutes since I started writing, but oh well...

ma un giorno infilo distratto
nel mio lettore un disco a testa in giù
si stabilisce un contatto
una voce mi dice
sono belzebù
bu!

unfortunately, so far i have to agree with 4th Horseman in the Porcupine Tree department. listening to Deadwing makes me want to listen to their older cds, which can't be good... still waiting for it to grow on me, though

good stuff

it's a dannish folk band... not metal-folk in the style of cruachan, rather... atmospheric somehow, very accoustic, slow...
some songs are a bit too slow, but others are really nice

You can't depend on your family
You can't depend on your friends
You can't depend on a beginning
You can't depend on an end

You can't depend on intelligence
Ooohhh, you can't depend on god
You can only depend on one thing
You need a busload of faith to get by, watch, baby

You can depend on the worst always happening
You can depend on a murderer's drive
You can bet that if he rapes somebody
There'll be no trouble having a child

You can bet that if she aborts it
Pro-lifers will attack her with rage
You can depend on the worst always happening
You need a busload of faith to get by

You can't depend on the goodly hearted
The goodly hearted made lamp-shades and soap
You can't depend on the sacrament
No father, no holy ghost

You can't depend on any churches
Unless there's real estate you want to buy
You can't depend on a lot of things
You need a busload of faith to get by

You can't depend on no miracle
You can't depend on the air
You can't depend on a wise man
You cant find 'em because they're not there

You can depend on cruelty
Crudity of thought and sound
You can depend on the worst always happening
You need a busload of faith to get by

The best track of the album. It's also the name of the album.

Almost shat my pants the moment the drums first kicked in. Sneap certainly set this mix apart from the original one...I do like the atmosphere and guitar sound on the original Enemies Of Reality a lot, but hell, you can just hear the cymbals so much better on this one and the toms and the bass drums sound so much beefier.
There's a vid on Sneap's page (the one on Nevermore's page doesn't work) with some video of the ongoing recordings for This Godless Endeavour too. Some great riffing in there and Van does some really good drumming. I like his use of cymbals a lot.
