Hello, boys and girls!
This is my first post here, but I've been an Evergrey fan for quite some time now. Having waited for the single "I'm Sorry" (which also includes "Blinded") for about a month now, I finally got it! The music turned out to be great, as I expected, but there is one little thing that bugs me...
The thing is that the production on "In Search of Truth" was extremely good and the soundquality of the recording exceptional. It's not often you hear a hardrock band that can make justice to expensive stereo systems like ISOT does.
Now, the thing that bugs me is that "Recreation Day"/"I'm sorry"-single doesn't feature nearly the same quality of the recording. The voice is sharp sounding and the instruments tend to mix with each other.
Question to the Evergrey guys: Why doesn't Recreation Day have the same "recording quality"? Don't get me wrong, the music is as good as ever! I thought you recorded "Recreation Day" in Los Angered like your previous album!?
Ohh, well, enough of these pessimistic thoughts now! I'm eagerly awaiting the March 17th release of "Recreation Day" and I'll probably be at the signing at "CD-Specialisten" in Gothenburg too.
