Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot. We can't have opinions on here unless we put at least 3 "IMO's" in a post or explain outrightly that we are voicing our opinion. Because otherwise, it's just confusing, isn't it!? LOL :hypno:

In my opinion, your opinion sucks. While it is merely a matter of opinion, however, the fact remains that that is simply my opinions with regards to your opinion.

Word up, nigga. I swear, if I hear one more captain obvious blurt out "WELL ITZ JUST A MATTER OF OPINION", I'm driving to said person's house and throwing he/she/it into a fucking meat grinder. GoD should consider upholding such a law. :Spin:

I am not Christian. Try again.

But you just pulled out the Christian fucking golden rule on us.

That rule is inherently flawed. By its logic, revenge is Christian, because, by it, if you burn someone's house down, you obviously want them to burn your house down, thereby entitling them to revenge (which is commonly thought of as anti-Christian, since Christianity supposedly supports passivity, althought you wouldn't know that with all the wars it's started).

Not really, because you're supposed to do what you want people to do to you. That doesn't mean that if you do something bad that you want them to do it to you, that means that you're not following the golden rule.

The golden rule is: Do unto others as you would have them do to you.

By that logic, if you punch someone in the face, you want them to treat you the same way (i.e. punch you back), which is where the concept of revenge stems from. It's not like the golden rule somehow knows what bad and good are (hint: they're just concepts that don't really exist), it just dictates that you should do things back to people that do them to you, be it harmful to them or beneficial.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you = Treat others how you want to be treated. Just because you shoot someone does NOT mean you want to be shot. That means that EITHER you want to be shot OR you're not following the Golden Rule. The Golden Rule is something that you choose to follow. It's not automatic. Thus, not all actions are confined to that rule. Do you think every murderer ever wanted to be murdered?

If you don't follow it, and you're Christian, you're not Christian. So you...lose anyway.

...

Give up.

OK so. How about that Grand Declaration of Gayness.
