Hey Turke -

Great list of bands :headbang: , I added my comments:

Mind's Eye - Will have to check them out.
Pain of Salvation - Great band. Just learned of them a year of so ago.
Enchant - Dooh! (said with his best Homer accent).
Evergrey - Have a friend talking them up but have not had a chance to listen.
Andromeda - Will have to check them out.

Lemur Voice - Will have to check them out.
Sun Caged - Will have to check them out.

Street talk - Will have to check them out.
Last tribe - Will have to check them out.
Hubi Meisel - Will have to check them out.
7 Months - Will have to check them out.

Iona - Great band! Now that Karnataka has disbanded, I'll have to get my celtic prog fix from Iona!

I know that I'm new to the list and these may have already been mentioned by others, but I would add:

Ayreon
Brother
Days of the New
Douglas Spotted Eagle
Dream Theater
Eric Johnson
Explorer's Club (project band with 2 albums)
Fates Warning
Galactic Cowboys
Gavin
Gypsy Soul
Karnataka (Even though they just broke up, their music is still available)
Kate Bush
Marillion
Pallas
Paula Cole
Peter Gabriel
Savatage
Shadow Gallery
Trans Siberian Orchestra
V.A.S.T

It's great to see the diversity in music! Thanks for sharing so many new bands to check out! I've completely given up on the radio scene here in Southern California. It's all talk radio, top 40 or classic rock (oldies). There are a few college stations and public radio that have decent "new" music shows, but they're usually small wattage stations and do not broadcast very far. So, I learn about most of my new music from the various boards that I'm on. Now I have pleanty to catch up on!!! :D

Thanks!!!

Ok, probably not in the same category, but I'm gonna recomment Alter Bridge.

Alter Bridge is the bassist, guitarist, drummer from Creed with Myles Kennedy as the singer. Their first CD is excellent. Great lyrics and great music.

Mark Tremonti kicks some serious butt on the guitar and I really like Myles Kennedy's vocal emotion.

The tune In Loving Memory is a real tear jerker, seriously.

The album ...er... CD... friggin rocks!

Mind's Eye: Awesome band with an awesome singer. Daniel Flores did a great job with the production, these swedish people kick some serious asses. I myself suggested their last album entitled as "A Work Of Art", which is actually a piece of art. Soft but powerful progressive.

Pain of Salvation: A "must-be-known" band, if you don't know them, you're not so much into the progressive metal scene. They are another reference, and Daniel Gildenlow has been working along with the Flower Kings and Transatlantic on their DVD's. He's a "let me play everything" sort of musician, and one of the most versatile singers I've ever heard.

Enchant Should I say something here? ;)

Evergrey Another reference, the guys in Evergrey have developed their own sound over the years, coming

Andromeda: Good work, but I don't fancy the singer. "Extension of Wish" is definitely something to check out, but for some reason I never got into it.

Symphony X: Oh, man, I'm not gonna review one of the most known bands nowadays. Check their "Divine Wings Of Tragedy" for God's sake.

Vanden Plas: Another band unlikely to catch my attention. I don't know why, I simply disliked their stuff. Maybe it's one of those band you get into after some years storing their music under a layer of dust.

Dali's Dillema: I love the guitars on this album. I wonder why they never released anything else,

Everon: I really got into "Fantasma", think it's their best album. These guys achieve a very singular style, I would check them out if I were you. ;)

Sun Caged: You can join their forum on ultimatemetal, their guitarist visits the place every now and then. Their album debut is fabulous, people say it is one of the best progressive metal albums since Dream Theater's Images and Words. Besides, their singer's voice keeps certain similarity to James Labrie's. Astonishing guitars as well.

Street talk: Goran Edman joined these guys in their first release to make the vocals in a couple of songs, where they got so acclaimed by the media. After that they've released two more albums and a best of, if I'm not mistaken. Special attention to the guitars, aside from Edman's wonderful voice. It's not prog music, actually, it's sort of soft and melodic hard rock.

Last tribe: I really liked their first album, although they play some sort of heavy-technical metal, not really prog.

7 Months: I definitely bought this L.A band first album, I liked so much their singer and their composition, and I recommended it enthusiastically over here not so long ago.

Deacon Street: Another hard rock band. Worths a try. I'm getting tired of reviewing, hehe, so I'm gonna stop here.

If you have never listened to Everon, buy anything by them now!!

Incredible band, if you enjoy Enchant, you will love these guys.

Highly suggest these albums:

Flesh
Fantasma (Like mentioned above)
Bridge

Just get everything by them... hah, fantastic band! :D
