Alright, I'll order a new one soon, but I thought I'd check anyway if someone has an idea:
It's a Marshall 1960BX and the top two speakers sound awful (crackle, muddy). So today I opened it up. I checked the ohm on each speaker, pin to pin, and got a steady 14.6 off of each (or something like that) except for the top left that gave me no reading at all. Also, the others made a little sound when I measured since they got some current from the multimeter. This one was totally quiet.
I guess the top ones both sounded awful since they are run in series(?).
Anyway, I've dealt with CRACKED speakers before, but I think this is the first time one just decides to die on me. I just wanted to see if anyone knows what could be the cause, how it happens, and if it's possible to fix. (I checked the two wires going from the pins to the speakers and they are firmly attached.
