I just booked at the Grenada for PP IX. I asked about discounts and they told me they have a manager's specials for a jacuzzi suite with a King bed for $15x a night. The cheapest rooms they have available are $109 a night. That's a hell of a lot better than they $229 I was paying at the Residence.

So now there's a room available at the Residence if anybody wants it.

After staying at The Granada for several years I got shafted for PP7 by the staff. i moved to the Holiday Inn and I am SO HAPPY now! Honestly the only good thing about the Granada is it being close and the bands are there. Otherwise its a waste. There are next to no amenities at that hotel and nowhere to eat in the area after 7PM. And I say that from experience. I do hope all that stay there have a great time though but there are other options.

I went ahead and booked a king bed also, since I hadn't made reservations yet anywhere. I'll come up with a fallback.

I like the idea of being close, but is there really no place to eat at night? I'm not super familiar with the area, but I thought there were some places to eat. At least two years ago there were, I didn't make it last year. They say they do serve breakfast in the morning, or is it a horror show?

last night after the showcase I went like maybe 15m walk frmo the venue to this diner, and it was serving at like 2am and the food was ridiculously good. But the other days I ate inside the venue and 1 time I went to publix which was like 25m I guess from the venue

The cheapest I could get was $109 for Wednesday, and $159 for Thurs-Sat., for a Queen bed. That's not as good as what I got last year (I got a huge King suite for $129/night), but it's the best deal in town right now, considering how close it is and the amenities I get.

We booked a 2-bed suite at the Granada when the PP IX dates were announced. (Also one at the Res. Inn just to be safe.) We usually have food in the room since it has a kitchen. I thought their breakfast was pretty damn good and I like the open bar happy hour. They DO have an exercise room which I finally took advantage of last year. (Yes, it really DOES help you get over a hangover!) What other amenities people are looking for, I dunno. The BEC crew likes to be able to go back and forth easily, so the Granada appeals to us.

As far as amenities go I feel personally that my hotel has it all. Room service, breakfast, lunch, dinner in house restaurant, outdoor pool with sauna, gift shop, shuttle, cab stand, close to Hooters, Hard Rock Cafe, Georgia Aquarium, World Of Coca Cola, CNN Tours, 2- 24 Hour Diners. Its also very close to my dialysis center and only a 5 minute cab ride from Center Stage. Me personally I would rather stay at my hotel even if I was given the Granada for free. But again its just me I have nothing against people who stay there.

While the Residence prices flat out suck, its not too bad when you can split 3 or 4 ways. I believe we are going to have 4 splitting a 2BR suite this year, so that will help make it more affordable.

We( Todd W, Rick, and 1) more made reservations at the Granada in Jan got a great rate(US Govt Rate on my ID), and have been checking weekly to make sure it hasn't been lost. As a back-up we have another reservation at another hotel.

According to the Best Western Website The Granada is officially SOLD OUT for Sept 24 thru Sept 28. Whewwwwww glad we booked in Jan.
