Grindcore

Grindcore, goregrind, porngrind, death/grind, and such are all forms of grind, but are way different from eachother. I'm not imagining things, damn it!

Grind and grindcore are the same thing. The rest are different, and I realize that.

Godflesh's self-titled debut is considered grind. Some people consider Streetcleaner as grind, but they're wrong.

I don't like much pure pure pure grind and only grind. In fact, I really can't think of any albums of what people would call pure grind that I enjoy that much. Maybe Night of the Ultimate Mosh by Birdlfesh is the most pure grind album I really like. Not even the archetypal Scum does much for me. So the grindy bands I enjoy are;

Circle Of Dead Children, Alienation Mental, Watchmaker, Brutal Truth, Hybrid Viscery, Enmity, Nasum, Foetopsy, Birdflesh, early Bolt Thrower, Sikfuk, first The Berzerker album (definately heavy grind influence), Embolism, early Cattle Decapitation, Reek Of Shits, Intense Hammer Rage, Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition

Really need to listen to more deathgrind being listed around here. CoDC and Watchmaker are among my all-time favourite bands. Top quality deathgrind is some of the best music around. :kickass:

Dead Infection's production is horrible and adds nothing to the atmosphere. And it's slow and hardly even grind.

I haven't actually heard it, but from what I understand, at the time it was released, Earache was basically calling everything that was extreme "grind" or "grindcore", even though Godflesh were far from what is referred to as grind these days.

I could be wrong though.
