i think i tend to use my throat a lot though - you can tell that its really not good for my vocal chords
i just tried doing the singing from my stomach thing... it doesn't sound quite as good... but feels a lot nicer
learning to produce the growling noise... you can't really tell anyone how to produce the sound, i just picked it up by myself.. but i think i do it by contricting my airway... or moving something up there anyawy

Isn't Sanders using some kind of effect on his voice when recording? Sounds like that to me. In one of the songs on ITDS you can for a while hear him growl a bit less "low". And then it sounds much less "manipulated".
(I hope you're meaning the same thing with "low" as I do!)

hmm, that's interesting... in the shower... i'll try that. it's more difficult for a woman to growl, i believe. but i attempt to get my gossow on every now and again. i can sing along pretty well to the "slaughter of the soul" album by at the gates because Lindberg's vox are relatively high and limited in range. anyway, if any ladies out there have any advice about screaming/growling, i'd love to hear it.

to growl is basically useless and stupid, unless you sing in a proper band and you're actually paid for it (sometimes is useless and stupid in that case too
