Guess the amp that ended up on this song!

God.
I used to jam so hard to Disturbed. :)

Back then, I didn't really appreciate production value.
But this production sounds really great!

I'm really digging that snare.

Dual Recto was pretty much THE ONLY amp that came to mind hearing this clip
But if it ain't, I'll be surprised

I've been referencing this album a ton over the last 6 months.

Agreed that there is a lot of chew on there for a Recto, but the 'grind' is definitely Recto-esque to me. I would say a blend of some kind.

Either that or it's a Recto but with a boost, and some post-saturation giving it that 'squish'.

I could see a blend being a possibility. It only sounds quad tracked during the choruses to me, though. It could be a modified Recto, but it sounds like a non tube-screamer esque boost was used, passive pickups were the weapon of choice, and possibly some pre-input eq was done.

The fact that the low end doesn't sound like a Rectifier may have a WHOLE LOT due to his playing style/guitar/pickup choice. Ermz, you know very well by now that certain DIs (or certain players), make amps sound either awesome, mediocre, or like complete shit. I actually want to do a comparison like this soon with two people's DI tracks. Does anyone here have a Fireface800, a Countryman and an EMG equipped Les Paul? If so, let's both find a riff, play it, and I'll reamp over the same backing tracks!

The most interesting blend-style I have ever heard, is that Cantrell used to quad track and have two of the amps highpassed and the other two lowpassed and actually had one amp doing the meat portion on each side and the other doing the sheen and treble.

It has some characteristics that i find in my Randall RM100, so im going to put my money on that one! ;)

Edit: After watching some videos on youtube and searching the net, im changing my guess to his pedal.

I can imagine that it would sound good in the right hands(Player and engineer.).

That definitely sounds excellent as far as production, and yeah, that sounds like a Recto to me too.

... but I must really say that I don't think the dude's adding much to the song with the 'uh-uh-uh-ow' sounds.:p

My buddy is a tech for Disturbed. I'm sure he can find out.

EDIT: He said the rhythms are all Washburn sig guitar w/ Randall 1086 pre thru a Bogner Ecstasy and the leads it varies

why does david draimen have to vocally masturbate all over that cool riff
listening to that track is like having someone suddenly spooge in your ear when he does that UUH UHEWUH WOWWWW shit
