my parents lent me their third car to use because it was just rusting in their driveway. i don't really like trying to find parking and stuff so i won't be taking it to work and the like, but this'll make laundry/shopping/visiting people in other regions of the city MUCH easier.

also, they didn't transfer ownership to me, so i don't have to pay for insurance or anything!

I don't have a car! Well I do legally but the lack of a transmission thing is bogging me down.

Considering the car has 300,000 miles on it, I hope that if it requires much in the way of maintenance, it will be junked rather than me having to pay.

This is my parents' way of saying "thanks" for not asking them for rent money or anything since I graduated in '99! (well...since after the summer after I graduated. Heh.)

yea i spent A LOT on the carrier but it's way easier to use than the hard plastic kind. it's for dogs, but it works for fred. it has pockets, it's red, and the mesh parts are treated to taste bad so he won't bite them.
