My permit pic makes me look a lot more ugly than I am. I think it's because the equipment they use brings out less detail in the way you look. They probably do not use a professional set up,etc... Every permit and licence I've seen from a person that person looks worse than in life. I guess that's just how it is, everyone in them looks like they just smoked a few bowls or got punched in the face. The lighting is darker and does not represent someone's actual skin tone or close face detailes, it's cheap. It's not a close angel shot, the farther away you look at someone usually the worse they look due to shadows. It just depends on everything and lighting.
