You just slide your left finger down the string hovering above the string, not fretting, just bearly touching the string and just alternate picking, usually done on the G string, it's also done on the Sixpounder solo.

sounds more like a pick scratch with some tapping either by the pick as you go down or maybe a combination of pick scratch while you tap with your finger
