Hi People,

I've been happily shredding away with Metal and Classical guitar for a few years now.

Does anyone have any recommendations for Jazz and Blues guitarists (pure not the fusions.)

I'm keen to find some New music in those areas.

Wes Montgomery

If you want to get into jazz I'd recommend going and seeing some live. I can't get into it recorded most of the time but live it can be sensational.

John Scofield, Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny, Pat Martino, and Joe Pass. They are good :-D Another good listen, not really jazz, is Al Di Meola

Those guys are definitely awesome Jazz players. Just attended a Master Class with Pat Martino about a week ago. His approach to music is unbelieveable, it's a shame players like that don't get exposed to a wider audience.

Also check out Jimmy Bruno. His book on picking is pretty cool also!
