it was factory. theyve done it a couple times actually. they did the KE7 and RR7 years ago. and then another collection of 7's in dark blue w/ silver hardware. its not a KE7 though. mine is the 2nd one and only a couple years old. mine is also cheaper. the cool thing about jacksons is theyre all made of alder and maple. the difference is the electronics. so you drop some dimarzios in there and youre set! id love to find an RR7 though. i love the rhoads body
