Hi,
I am new to the world of recording and I've noticed that when tracking guitars there can be a tendency to get this metallic sound over the top of notes - particlarly when palm muting chords. I do like the effect but once you add layers it gets a little over the top.
So the question is, how can I reduce this but minimize the impact on the overall brightness of the tone?
I've uploaded a small sample and a complete track (using amplitube metal) to demonstrate.

I hope what I'm trying to describe makes sense and any help much appreciated.
I necessary can also supply the presets...
