Hey there

i have a problem with recording the guitar. If i play a riff without palm muting it sound great but if I play that same riff with palm muting it doesn't sound that good anymore because there is to much bass in it. How can I fix this ?

I have a Engl fireball top and cubase essential.

thanks..

You can use a multiband compressor and set it up just to push down those frevkenses bothering you.
That works great for that kind of trouble. Just be carefull with the treshold so that it just working when it needs to and dont suck out the juice from the guitars.

if you have that problem infront of the amp..than reduce bass on the amp. if it's only on the recorded track than you have to play around with a multibandcompressor (on the recorded track) like it was mentioned...you can search for the "andy sneap C4" setting to see how a multibandcompressor can be used for something like that.
