If you're working on an album as a mixer you will achieve the best possible guitar tone by also controlling the bass tone so they can work as one.

This is terrible logic. Who's going to supply you with a pre-processed bass track if you're mixing an album? You're going to get an unprocessed bass DI unless the engineer really, really fucked something up.

I agree with you for mixing but isn't more fun to deal with what you receive for a guitar tone comp?

Anyways... Ermz said that he will mix the backing track and get the bass tracks done, be it played by him or someone else I don't really care. At least he has pretty superb signal path, so I believe that we will get a good bass track
