so definitely one of the biggest problems i have in my mixes are guitars. everything else sounds great. i use mainly a pod xtpro. though i do mic up a cab on occasion. i can get great sounds and all but i cant seem to get them to A) be loud in the mix without overpowering everything and B) seem huge and wide. i was wondering if there were any tips you could give on your techniques? or possibly just point me in the direction of some good articles or threads etc.

ah ok. thanks but i dont think i need the settings really. i can get good guitar sounds from what i use my only problem is getting them to sound right in the mix without being too loud. and how to make everything appear wider without using some kind of stereo inhancement tool. whenever i do that it never seems to translate well. any other tips?
I've found that it's all about getting the bass guitar right with the guitars.
