In the song hades means something like "underworld" or "hell" or something like that. "Falling away into hades"

I believe he's the bad guy in Greek mythology. At least I think I can recall that name being used in the Disney movie Hercules.
And I forgot just about everything i learned in religion class after I ended school.

Well in greek mythology, Hades is more frequently used to name the "underworld", the place where the souls of the dead are lying. Pluto is the name of the God of the Hades.Like Tuonela in Finnish.

it doesnt sound like he's pronouncing it like the greek myth. sounds like Hades (rhymes with maids, blades, fades, etc.) im talkin about in the beginning of the song, *welcome to hades ... my hades...* if thats even what he's saying in the beginning. so i could see the meaning of underworld or hell, but not the person or thing ruling it in the Greek myth.
