btw we only lived in N. Port for a year while my dad was on an unaccompanied tour of Panama...but it didn't get better, because he got assigned to MacDill AFB in Tampa

If you're not one for heat, I hear ya. Well, at least N. Port is more of a retirement community these days, should be relatively quiet - I'll probably end up commuting to Sarasota or Ft. Meyers for work/school, etc.
