Cool!!! Oh, I guess I didn't realize, the Mokena show is Prog Power weekend???

I guess a non-point for those going to Prog Power, unless they didn't get tickets for the pre-party...

DAMN!!
I didnt buy tix for the Atlanta show cause they were coming to Chicago so I was just planning on being in ATL for Prog Power weekend......but now......@#$%&*!!

The events around this fest have been disappointing me, it's nobody's fault, just my luck.

is there really a fan of the early Gamma Ray stuff?

I still think the first Gamma Ray album "Heading For Tomorrow" was one of the best at the time. It sure followed the Keepers formula. "Sigh No More" and "Insanity And Genius" had some good songs but alot of filler IMO. You have to remember though, this was the early 90's when power metal was very new and these kind of cd's were rare as well.

Pick up Gamma Rays DVD "Heading For The east". Anyone who is into good power metal and doesn't like at least one song on that DVD has issues.

first off power metal wasnt new then....there was tons of it....

Running Wild
Helloween
Mordred
Midas Touch
Scanner
Vendetta
Rage
Heathen (mix of speed metal)
Watchtower

and many many many other Power Metal acts out there. Sure it wasnt as huge as it is now...but to call it new. The LP's, cassettes and CD's were not hard to get. Most record stores carried them. I never had a problem getting them around me. There was life before Impulse Music.
