happy v-day, o beautiful couples of the world!

Can everyone please go and vote in this Valentines Day related poll for me to even things out?

http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/...612#post2593612

I'd rather not spaminate these forums by posting duplicate threads if I don't have to, and it's always better having one BIG POLL than lots of little ones you have to total up, so I'll try and link to stuff I ask in other forums when I can.

I won't however link the other direction (point S O/T'ers here) as I'm assuming you'd would rather I didn't invite the hoard over there. :erk:

Don't have to post if you don't want, just vote for me please! :D

have you finally lost your mind?

i know i have. i dreamt that my friend carlo passed out while talking to me on the phone, but before doing that he was writing me an email (yeah, i know, we were talking on the phone, so what? it was a dream for bu's sake) with very precious advice for my working life. in the dream, his wife forwarded the email to me, and i started wondering if my friend had died leaving me with the proverbial last words. i swear that this morning i woke up with a bunch of scribbled notes - evidently i got up to pick pen and paper, and wrote the precious advice down, heaven only knows how i didn't get myself smashed climbing my bedroom's stairs - and the deep persuasion that he had actually died. i have no proof to the contrary at the moment, but i don't think it happened.

in the dream, i also ended up (on a totally unrelated note) having the guy i'm in love with visit me for dinner - which i've been trying to do forever, to no avail - and then stay the night. i didn't dream about the smutty details, unfortunately, but i can remember that after this fateful night i would bring him breakfast in bed, which is unrealisitic because (a) i don't have any warm cornetti to serve at 7am (b) the damn staircase! i don't know if i'd be able to carry a breakfast tray while climbing it, it's too narrow.

after one night that clearly showed me i have a very problematic relationship with, of all things, a staircase (which also tried to kill me three months ago), you're saying "happy valentine's day"?

look, i'll say it one last time: 'twas sarcasm. i would never wish anybody a happy valentine's day.
yet your bedroom staircase is pretty neat in my opinion, you're just blaming it for things that are wrong in your life. :p

i-was-joking-too, you bubu :p and yes, the staircase is bearing the brunt (what a shite expression!) of everything that's gone wrong in my life. i just wish it won't collapse under the weight, because i don't want to sleep amidst splintered wood.

@vc: PLEASE NO HAPPY TREE FRIENDS AROUND ME! my friend wolfy managed to almost make me throw up in the middle of an airport after showing me teh horrores... :yuk:

Just to inform you all:

In Finland Valentine's Day is traditionally ystävänpäivä, ie. "friend's day", which means we Finns show our completely non-romantic affection to all our close friends, rather than to just those we love in romantic (or sexual, or whatever) way. At least no-one here in the north gives any heart-shaped gifts or dreams of eternal love today.

I will spend today with a group of very good friends, playing RPG's and having fun. In a non-romantic, non-sexual way, it is.

I also wish a very good day for every friend of mine here in UM.

well this thread is about screaming, dying, so a little puking might as well be in place, no? :)

Well if my misery disrupts everyone happiness, its only suitable that my happiness increases everyone's misery as well.

ystävänpäivä? Damn how much do finns must waste on pens, with all those dots it would ruin most traditional pens.

Oh and is that RPG tabletop? Or videogames? Or LARP perhaps?

they conveniently change all of them to straight lines over words in handwriting, or so it seemed to me from something i've seen recently. it probably doesn't decrease the amount of ink used, but it certainly helps them write a full sentence between sunrise and nightfall.

such a deep hatred for happy souls, eh? ;)
come on, i know damn well you share that hatred and more, now don't play the banana-flavoured pink umbrella!

let's do something symbolic today, nl. you decide. it shall display all our spitefulness for those who are celebrating with their loved ones: some sort of coordinated action sweden-italy (and any other country if someone wants to participate).
