Some band i've just done a recording with, first mix of one of the songs!

I really dislike the music, but nevermind, I don't have any monitors, just done on cans, see if you can help me out with the mix!

The music itself is a bad rip off of Killswitch Engage, the main riff is ripped off "The End of The Heartache"...

The tone is okay, too bassy for my taste, also that snare need some mids.

But not bad

I disagree as far as the killswitch quote goes.

But anyway, I think you should roll of some of the lows in the guitars.

to my ears the whole thing is very rumble-low unpresent-stuff.
Too bassy, lack of mids´n highs, but not bad at all.

Concerning the band:
I just made it to this part where strange hardcore-shout-stuff comes along
with kind of brutal-death-growls.. then I knew I dislike this stuff, too, and really
wanted to turn it off.. but I gave it another chance, but when I realized that
this part is actually the chorus I quit, sorry

Sounds a lot better than the first mix. I really dislike the DM'ish vox, tho. They sound very unnatural and remind me of the sound that erupted when a plumber got my kitchen sink running after months of being stuck
