Hey guys i thought i'd post up one of my recent tracks for you guys to have a play with.
Drums were dkfhs and i've uploaded the bounced track, plus the midi to work with if you fancy trying out some other kit's or samples with it.
Guitars are quad-tracked podxt but no di unfortunately.
Bass is DI so you'll need to process it.
Vox included.

If there are any problems with any of the archives or files not working let me know and i'll try get them sorted out for you.

Ben.

very cool.

Too bad you don't have DI for the guitars :(.

By the by do you happen to have the tempo? Or was this done no click?

Sorry for lack of DI, I only have a podxtlive and a mbox2 to work with so it's a bit of a bugger trying to reamp the guitars, so i just had to settle with finding some tones i could stick with!

quad tracked guitars... did you use the pod cab sims?
Yeah pod cab sims, i think they were both the marshall with v30's. amp sims were the msdimondplate and the 5150 jobby, thanks to mendel for those patches btw!

just imported the tracks into PT's and the noise on the lead vocals renders them virtually useless once one tries to compress and EQ them.

too bad..

Aye i'm sorry about the quality of the vocal tracks, the pre's in the mbox suck balls, i'm gonna get a hold of a pre which i can use into the line or adat on there instead.

These mixes are sounding sweet guys! :)

Oh aye feel free to bastardize it in anyway you like! A new solo wouldn't go a miss that one i did was very iffy! lol. Bit of A harmonic minor works nicely on it! hahaha

i found that better results i can get making two tracks for a kick (duplicating it) and puting drumagog for each track

and dont forget about parallel comp!

So thats the best way of doing it! :D Yeah ive started dabbling in this compression technique. Its just compressing your kick, snare and toms on a bus isnt it, with a heafty amount of SSL comp.

yeah
im just sending these two kick(+snare, toms) to a bus and making a hard comp...

Do you send them or route the channels? :p This is the only part im not 100% sure im doing it right about :p Sends or routes that is the question!
