This is your lucky day!:heh:
Who never dreamt of trying one of those super high-end HB cabs?:) :hypno:
Jokes aside, I thought the impulses were okish so here they are:
http://sneapforum.celtiaproductions.co.uk/Burny/Harley_Benton.rar

Alasneap = straight between the edge of the dustcap and the cone
Fred off = angled fredman style
Full center = straight to the center of the dustcap
Mid = straight off axis
I included 44.1khz version for KeFir and Such.

Have fun... Or not.

These are GREAT impulses. To me they are definately on the same level as guitarhacks stuff. Which is great considering he uses a mesa box (IIRC) costing about 4-5 times as much.
I especially like how controlled the low end of these impulses is. I tested them with 5150 + 7-String and I could nearly do without compressing the lower mids at all. I like the mid and the fredman impulse the most. Another thing that's great about your impulses is that they dont have any annoying fizz. Great job and thanks for sharing!

P.s.: I guess the cab is loaded with V30? What amp + mics did you use for these?

Wow, thanks for the kind words. I'm glad if someone find these useful.
Yes, this the V30 4x12 HB cab. The amp I used was a Marshall JCM 900 with a brand new set of JJ EL34. I guess the combination of EL34 and the fact that I elevated the cab using chairs make it less boomy than expected especially since I used one of the bottom speakers which happen to sound better than the others.

You seem kinda surprised anyone likes these impulses. Why? Are they not working out for you?
They are working fine for me. It's just that I'm really not much involved in metal music anymore. I'm still interested in the technical aspect of metal recordings though so I was curious if it could work in that context (on the other hand V30+57 is a classic). Do not hesitate to post some examples btw.:)

I totally agree with you!

Thanks for the great work.. Tested them with ReValver Mk II.

kev, the sound is nice, but it's a bit crazy in the fizz area! try cutting it a notch?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get hold of these impulses to try.

The ftp link is down at the minute - does anyone have these that they would be willing to share with me via another link?

I would be greatly appreciated!
