Ok, listen to the song "Echoes" by Pink Floyd at 8:57 to 9:09. Then listen to Blackwater Park at 10:42 to 10:52. It's the same guitar effect! Except in BWP it's in the background I just noticed it and I think it's great.

It would be interesting to know how that was added in there.

It's very different. And anyway, it's a generic guitar whine, nothing special, at least in BWP. The Echoes one, I'm not even sure it's a guitar.

I dunno dude. It sounds pretty much the same generic or not. Jack up your volume or something I swear it's the same high pitched squeal or something very similar.
 
what is the big deal about it? the amount of stuff you can play on a guitar is limited so there'll always be parts that sound somewhat close to parts of other songs ... it's nothing special, it happens all the time etc etc
