Maren = Danish form of Marina, "belonging to the sea"

marina.. uh thats very common in spanish. ;)

well i did investigate what mine meant like, a bit confusing here.

BRENDA: Old English name meaning "burning," or Norse name meaning "sword." Diminutive is Bren.

for irish BRENDA, BREANDAN: little raven

Brenda aint irish, so the first ones right i think. and bran is raven so the name would be brandáin while brendan i think means something else.

Thorsten

Usage: Swedish, Danish
From the Old Norse name Þórsteinn, which meant "Thor's stone" from the name of the Norse god Þórr (see THOR) combined with steinn "stone".
