Haste the day...attack of the wolf king

eh, im sorry but this band has never really impressed me too much. This new stuff actually sounds like a step back compared to some of the songs on dreamer

oh gotcha, ya then i agree i think the engineering and mixing was pretty top notch

This mix is awesome and the band sounds about the same live. Saw them twice last week with Enter Shikari and they are tight as fuck. The drummer is seriously amazing, and absolutely hilarious - does moves like that "drummer is at the wrong gig" video all day long.

got some info from andreas...gtr was 5150...bass was fender p-bass, di out from a old ampeg amp...very very impressed by the production and the mix!!!

Thanks for the info Yannick! Andreas consistently puts out such great stuff... I imagine the tracks Jason got to mix would've been pretty hard to do a bad job on! Have never heard a bad master from Glessner either, I know jval swears by him for all his stuff.

Haste The Day isn't even Haste The Day anymore the only original member is the bass player, does that bother anybody? or just me. i don't think anything they do will live up the When Everything Falls, or Burning Bridges.

But im excited to check out the new album now that you guys are going on about the sick production :p

I remember their early, early demos, and that's what I like best. Back in the mp3.com days...before they were signed and were just another local band around here.

yea i cant stand that. whats worse is bands with NO original members like zao or underoath.

Geez the drummer for HTD now is awesome. The whole beginning breakdown for When Everything Falls he picked up his hi hat stand and was fist pumping it.

This. This was fucking awesome!

I really don't understand the argument "oh there's no original members left boo hoo" - get over it. People change, bands change, whatever. If you want to follow the original members, then do it. Edit for shitty analogy removal

But really, that drummer is one of the best I've ever seen live - I always felt like the records sounded maybe over-quantized or overly consistent in dynamics, btu he sounds exactly like that live so it just rules.

I agree with this. Get over it, it can still be a great band even if there are no original members, if you like you like and if you don't then follow whatever the originals are doing now

Excellent album. Haste the Day were starting to get stale for me after the last two albums. Bar a couple of quality tracks from PTH and Dreamer they were pretty standard. Wolf King has some really great musicianship and excellent catchy chorus's, just what I want from a band like Haste the Day.
