Haste the day...attack of the wolf king

I really don't understand the argument "oh there's no original members left boo hoo" - get over it. People change, bands change, whatever. If you want to follow the original members, then do it. Edit for shitty analogy removal

okay, but saying this is just like saying the band itself is a faceless, nameless thing. what makes the band is the members that write the music, that establish the name, that tour the world.
Saying the members dont matter is ridiculous.
The way i see it is that HTD is one step away from being a HTD cover band.

^ What makes the band first and foremost is the music the members made. Not the members themselves. IMO of course.

well yes of course. but my point is there is a difference between going to a pink floyd show, and a think floyd (tribute band) show. one is not the real thing.
Sooooo.... When haste the day plays something off of burning bridges or when everything falls cd, they are covering that stuff. cause they didnt write it.

It's like with underoath, TOTALLY different line-up, it's not the same band anymore, they're going to have fundamentally different ideals and visions.
But it's easy to sell an established name isn't it?
Myaah

I see your point, but seeing as HTD only played songs off the latest album except for Blue 42 and 68 when I saw them 2 weeks ago, I don't think it matters. God forbid a band develops and changes and grows - if they kept writing Pressure the Hinges and Burning Bridges over and over, they'd be criticized for that, too.
