What's crazy is that at current exchange rates I could buy a new dual rec for the same amount in the US.

yeah, but in Germany a new dual rec is like 2500 euros and I think it's a copy of the old dual recto that isn't produced any longer.
I saw a band a few weeks ago that used that head, sound was ok but I think it could sound very good because a) the guitar player used a Epiphone Les Paul Standard with stock pus b) he just played useless shit c) played through a Marshall MG cab.
Through a nice cab with Vintage 30s, a good guitar and a Tubescreamer in front that thing should sound nice and I heard the quality is very good (no not from that guitar player ).

I've tried laboga's mr hector it was cool..It was so clean on the clean channel, it has diode and tube overdrive too...sounds killer.and cheap enough..their cabinets are also cheap, and very very good.

kinda missed dynamics, and i found it too smooth, like the presence is at zero...

they offered me an endorsement as well....but that was only like 50% discount or so...which is nice but way less than another amp-company offered, so I didn't take their offer....still would like to try a Mr.Hector, I heard it's an Uberschall-clone, is that true?
how do you like the amp?

Don't know. Never heard the Überschall. I sounds a little darker and fatter than a Rectifier which makes the amp a nive alternative.
It's a great amp, but in the end of course it's a matter of taste.

I recently recorded a band where one guitar player had a Laboga amp, the other guy had a 5150. Both were running into Laboga cabs. The Laboga head was good, although I ended up only using the Peavey head, but the cabs were not so great really. Couldn't handle loud volume, the low end was distorting and wobbly. Those were loaded with Celestion Vintage 30. Very disappointed with them.

Built like a tank, and It's a great amp. I also got endorsed, and I currently have Mr. Hector paired with Laboga Celestion Vintage 412B premium cab. I used to have 5150 paired with Krank 4x12, but I liked the Laboga set-up more.

That's my first post here, so I'd like to say halo to everyone.
I'm not so new here, 'cause I've been reading this forum for some long time.
Ad rem, I am from Poland and Laboga is Polish amp manufacturer, so I can say something about them:
-They are much too expensive for their quality
-every unit sounds different
-their unreliable
-They made few kinds of cabinets, only the most expensive are made of plywood and they sound pretty good, but there are lots of better stuff and the cheaper ones are just crap, even though they have V30 in them.

But I can recommend great Polish amps:

I've played all models excluding VMP100, but my friend switched to it after playing Marshalls JCM800 and JCM800 Wylde for many, many years, and these amps are just awesome.
