My brother-in-law is in serious need of joining a union or filing for a complaint to OSHA. He's a technically a Kidney (Renal) Dialysis Technician and is getting screwed over by his workplace. He's hitting his 60 hour work week limit every Friday, sometimes by Thursday. Just now after pulling 2 emergency shifts after his regular 10 hour shift he got called back in for an emergency shift because one of the nurses broke the acid tank.
Yes, the friggin' acid tank. So my brother-in-law was trying to get some sleep today before having to head back in at 2:00 am but they pulled him back onto another shift.
I know nothing about unions. I know he'd be in the category of Healthcare Workers, but that's about it.
Any thoughts or good places I can start researching for him?
