Heath Ledger found dead in NY Apartment.

That really is too bad. My condolences to his family. +1 on the new Batman being a good swansong. That was a pretty major role, and based on the pictures and short previews, it looked like he was filling it nicely.

that sucks, he was young as hell, i liked him, even if he did make the cowboy movie

will we still see him in batman?

You'll see him in Batman and a couple other movies.

A lot of actors have several projects in post-production or so.

Definitely will be missed.

Seems accidental. ugh.

I liked the guy in what movies I saw him in (except "The Brother's Grimm"). This really is sad news.

Got home from class and heard about this tragedy. Such a sad thing to see such a talented, motivated and young person pass away. I was reading something from a site and thought it was interesting, here's the snippet
He told The New York Times in a November interview that he "stressed out a little too much'' during the Dylan film, and had trouble sleeping while portraying the Joker, whom he called a "psychopathic, mass-murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy".

And the rest of the article if anyone is interested: http://www.smh.com.au/news/film/led...s-family/2008/01/23/1201024937592.html?page=1

Yet another person that has the whole world open to them, and throws it away. My only sympathies are for his daughter.
How do you know he threw it away? There's no evidence he committed suicide. So far the only evidence is that he had pneumonia and died of a heart attack. The autopsy is scheduled for today, so the speculations will end.

He was taking sleeping medication.. seemingly both prescribed and over-the-counter. Could have been an accidental overdose. Especially in a weakened pneumonia state. But yeah calling it suicide right now is just wrong.

Sad, Sad news, I loved him in a Knight's Tale, that was a chessy movie but pure entertainment. I really loved the sound track.

This is tragic... I think it's highly likely that this was anything controlled-substance-related, because I don't remember Heath ever being associated with the whole "famous guy drug scene" or whatever.

The dude was a great actor. I originally saw him in A Knight's Tale, immediately followed by The Order.
