The video was shot on November 23, 2012 at Petit Café Campus in Montreal with five HD cameras and recorded in multitrack to give the listener an amazing experience and unique point of view of the band’s live performance.

Guitarist Eric Jarrin comments:
“The idea of recording the show came in last minute, and given the hard work that was put into this project, we are very pleased with the results. That’s why we decided to make it available for the fans to enjoy. We also thought it would be great to have a limited edition of the album, that’s why we are releasing it on vinyl. When we were kids, we always loved the feel of putting vinyl on the turntable, watch it spin and enjoying the full scale 12″ artwork of our favorite rock bands!”

About: Originating from Montreal, QC, Heaven’s Cry gained worldwide recognition with their first album “Food For Thought Substitute” in 1997. Their latest effort, “Wheels of Impermanence” was released through Prosthetic Records in 2012 and exceeded the success of their previous albums, which propelled the band to perform at Europe’s ProgPower music festival the same year plus supporting Swedish progressive metal band Pain of Salvation for their Canadian tour. The band has also performed ProgPower USA XIV among fellow progressive bands Shadow Gallery, Circus Maximus and Wolverine.

I'll have to find some time to sit down and watch this footage. I thought Heaven's Cry were seriously underrated at this year's fest. They played one of the most spot-on live sets I've ever seen. I guess it was easy for them to get lost in the shuffle of Myrath, Shadow Gallery, Circus Maximus, and Armored Saint, but I enjoyed them immensely. Now I hope it doesn't take them another decade to get the next release out!

Stay metal. Never rust.
Albert

I've just been listening to Wheels of Impermanence recently. Some great stuff on it, it must have been a great show this year. One of these coming days I'll watch the video, but until then it's back to the album. It's rare for me that prog metal makes a good first impression. Usually it takes a few listens for me to fall in love with it.
