So what do y'all reckon of the mix? I was trying something a bit different.

I like everything but the snare. Too much verb for me. Sounds heavy as fuck though. Nice work.

Yeah, work on the snare's velocity, it has a slight machine gun effect.

Guitars and bass are pretty heavy, though.

what did you use for the guitar's sound? sounds heavy as hell. not digging the drums a whole lot though, cut the reverb back a bit.

Thank you, my metal brothers!!!

For guitars (and bass) I used my fernandes ravelle deluxe baritone [dual emg 81s only using the bridge,though] through a podxt pro using the big bottom amp model (I think). I forget which cab/mic but I know the mic-distance was 50.
For bass, I used the middle toggle switch position to get the clean track and then pitch shift/eq/compression to taste.
Cheers for the suggestions guys!!! I'll have a look at the snare & reverb settings.
