Hey fellow Metalheads!
My band melodic death metal band, Aeons Abyss from Melbourne, Australia, has just released its debut EP Pity Eloquence. It’s a fully independent release, and Im slowly pushing the music out mainly through word of mouth and social media. The EP is on most streaming channels and getting a good response and growing each day (slow but steady). The band is a studio based band for now (we used to play back in the early 90s), but this is our first proper foray into recording.
Given how the labels and algorithms control the way music is played and promoted, what tips do people have for new underground metal bands trying to promote their music (on the basis that they have good music to promote)?
