Hello

What the difference between American and Japanese autos anymore. Ford Rangers have Mazda motors and Mazda B-Series Trucks look like Rangers. :Spin:

Well, I was only joking, like the last time we had this topic. But but but, it does matter in these parts.....c'mon guys, remember where I am from?? :D

Mikey are there Japansese plants in Michigan? I was looking at a used Toyota truck the other day and I found out it was made in the good old USA

Mazda has something called Auto Alliance here in Monroe, MI. They build 323's and 626's or something similiar there. Most of the "foreign" auto makers are in the south to avoid the unions, although there are a few that are UAW.

The friends I have at the "Mazda" plant now actually work for Ford, controling interest or something, and I am told that they will get the new Mustang platform.

If you have ever been to MI, you know that Dearborn should be named FoMoCo, MI. Generous Mother has some serious real estate here too. We all know, tho, that we are rapidly approaching a global economy.

Anyway, WTF do I know, I am just a dumb pipefitter(and drunk too, now - I love the UAW) in a diesel engine plant. The Germans(DCX) are putting it to us but good. So ignore this bitter drunk crabby f***er. :erk:

Well, I've been union for seven years now, so I am used to doing things drunk.

OK, where is your hubby from? I actually suffer from asthma and allergies too, and felt great when I visited Phoenix, but couldn't bring myself self to leave this great lake, high paying, high COLA, cold-ass then muggy-ass (in same day), sports loving, good fishing, plus I'm a big ole wuss, state

You know, I was born here, and I'll probably die here. All I wanna do is fish and listen to Anthrax and drive my really big American car that goes really really and gets really shitty gas mileage.... :tickled:

Is yuor hubbs from near Detroit at all???

Port Huron, which I'm told is 60 miles north of Detroit. He knows a few places in Detroit, as he used to go there when he lived there. I think his problem with the humidity is that he basically grew up out here without it, and couldn't get used to it as an adult. If he'd stayed there, he'd probably be okay there now.

And he just went union last month, is that what I have to look forward to??

I know Port Huron well, there is a KOA out there that is kick-ass.

OK, where is here? And what union is he?

Phoenix is great! I loved Scottsdale and ASU. I had friends that lived down there, he Carpenters. The Teamsters are a good orginazation, I think they have gotten thier shit together again finally. You know then, as I do unions have drawbacks, protect bad workers some times, etc, etc. But I will tellya, I am appointed to our Civil Rights Committee as a Fair & Equal Practice investigator and there is very little harrassment and unfair treatment of our brothers and sisters by the mgmt. Ya know, good with the bad.

And don't forget - I am Trades - ask your hubby, we are a buncha lushes....
OK, enough of the soapbox, lets get back to whats important...What are you wearing? and what time is Misress Maiden coming over??? LOL :tickled: :tickled:
