Help a noob with ampsims and vsts!

Its a pretty cool sound you got on this dude's DI track dude! Can you get a tone like you did on that short clip using ryan's s-preshigh impulse? Its just I like this sound but don't own Recabinet or any of the Redwire impulses :(
Well, this is the first time ever that someone likes my tone, so thanks a lot. When I got Recabinet and Red Wire I tried to copy the s-preshigh impulse because I rely liked it but it kind of gave an unwanted amount of low-end when used with my 7-string guitar. I think the combination I used with those impulses sounds kind of different from my original imitation, but here's the same settings with s-preshigh: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1643345/zz99 - Misc Shit/le456 s-preshigh.mp3

Same settings, but different EQ:

--- HP: 80
--- -3dB: 130 (q= 7)
--- -2dB: 2800 (q= 25)
--- LP: 10500

I doesn't sound exactly the same, though, I think it has more highs and less middle than my first one, but I am sure that further tweaking would get a tone very similar to the original one.

Also: Recabinet (the complete library with modern and vintage impulses, see their website) is only 20 usd and the Mesa Rectifier Red Wire impulses are just 9.95. I think they are both really worth it.

Thanks, I hope it was useful for you to work on your tone

Yeah, I really like the samples you have put up! I'll try the same settings out later on a song I'm working on.
Make sure to post the results!
