Help: Cubase piano roll is barely visible

So for some reason, I started up cubase today just to quickly jot down some drums and I couldn't see ANY of the subdivisions. The whole thing is just eye straining and time consuming.

Here's what one should look like;

I've not changed anything in the preference menu since I was last on and I haven't updated anything either. I'm guessing (like a retard) I pressed a shortcut button accidentally whilst using it.

Had a look in the preferences and I couldn't see anything about changing the vertical lines in the piano roll

edit: didn't mean for the first pic to be with a gif... live with it

Go to preferences and make the lines darker. Should be something about gridlines and a slider for darkness.

I should be hitting myself right now, It wasn't in the midi section so I assumed it wasn't there

Why don't you use drum editor? I find it more convenient.

This. I can't program drums in any other program nearly as well as I can in Cubase because of the drum editor.
