help me decide best anthrax album

i, sadly, do not own an anthrax album because i have just been introduced to them. i really want to get one, but i have no idea which to buy. please give me feedback on what their best album is, or which one i should start with. thanks!

If u like real SPEED/THRASH METAL first buy anything pro-sound of white noise. Among the living is a good way to start i believe.

Among the living should be your first album, followed by Spreading then Persistence.
I enjoy the hell out of that early Anthrax.

i'd say sound of white noise because thats what got me into it

Sound of White Noise is not the best album ever made. It's the second best after Volume 8. Either of those would be a great place to start.

If I was going to get my first Anthrax CD , I would probably go for the Anthrology 2 disk set - you get a little bit of everything on it (well, the Joey years anyway).

That poll only reflects the newbies favorite album. Ask anyone who's 35 and older and who was with them from day 1 and is still with them what they think..then you might really know what the best Anthrax album is. Or hell, just buy em all and determine for yourself.

I'm almost 34 and I think SOWN is the best, then POT.
Maybe when I'm 35 I'll change my mind.
