Hey everyone, here is a clip from a song I'm working on. It's not metal at all, but I think it's still a pretty cool tune. Anyway, I've always been especially bad at mixing bass. I can just never seem to get good at it. I feel like the bass doesn't have enough clarity. It just seems muddy and undefined. Currently I've got a clean DI track that's low-passed, and then I have a copy of the track that's high-passed and has a bit of distortion on it. Both are compressed and EQ'd individually. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to take a listen and tell me what they think and how I can possibly improve it. It would be greatly appreciated.

Btw, try not to pay much attention to the drums. I know they're pretty buried, they're all one submix for right now and I'm not focusing on them yet. I think I'm pretty decent at mixing drums though. Also, the guitar will be doubled, but right now there is just one track and it's up the center. I have it up the center because I'm trying to focus on getting it to jive with the bass before I start panning things around.
