Every time I record now the volume fluctuates on my recordings and sometimes when I move the unit (line6 UX2) the playback volume will go up and down and clip like fuck. Add to that occasional screeching glitches and me thinks I need a new one.
If you could recommend me an interface for £300? Something known for being stable, xlrs , phantom power, separate headphone and monitor volumes, decent hz connection usb or firewire. Just a wish list really, I'm expecting to have to compromise on something so that's OK. I can't really expect great pre's for this money but avoiding anything horrible would be nice. Using cubase on xp by the way.
I've googled on the topic like crazy but everything I come up with is either out of date or I'm uncertain of how trustworthy it is.
