Well i received my Phase 22 soundcard.

and as you can see it has 2 jack inputs and 2 jack outputs.

how do i connect my 5.1 speakers (who has 3 of those small headphone pins. ike you have in ipods ) to those 2 jacks ?

I don't think you can. At least not have true 5.1

Sorry, but I think you need a soundcard with 6 outputs then.

Yeh, i doubt its gonna happen mendel- did the card say it was capable of 5.1? Or do you just want to hook it up and basically just have working sound?

Umm....I think there is some confusion unless I am not understanding you. Active moniters have nothing do do with 2.1/5.1. Active means powered. Passive means you have to supply your own power. You can have 5.1 active, 5.1 passive, 2.1 active etc.....

no i mean. like yeha wait.
i CAN NOT connect my 5.1 right ?
but if i get myself 2 active monitors, i can connect them to the soundcard without having pre amp or something.

Yes that will work. I just wanted to make sure you were clear on all the terms.

EDIT from the looks of things you are not:

The "jacks" you refered to are 1/4 female inserts.
The "Head Pins" you refered to is a 1/8 male trs (tip ring sleeve).
The "pre amp or something" you refered to is actually a power amp.
