Yesterday bass was fine on my audio technica M-35s, now I come to work and bass is boomy/loud as hell on my sony headphones. Any tips for correctly volume the bass? And how can I make synths bigger?

The bass is kinda perfect here. I think your sonys are just the type of boomy headphones made for hip-hoppers, or what the hell kids are called these days. Most headphones that are not made for studio are made to enhance bass (some even go to the extreme of boosting 6db @ 60hz).

thanks, now I have another problem, voice.

I will get rid of the backing vocals, normalize the voice but any suggestions on giving some depth to the different vocals (harsh/whisper)

just run them through a plate reverb and compress the living shit out of them (well not really, but aim for about 3 to 4 db reduction.

I think these industrial kick/snare sounds hurt this music, black metal is not about drums. and your snare velocity on blastbeats is too low. I don't find the bass boomy, don't use headphones for shaping sound, it will just confuse you (as you just found, lol)

The kick sound doesn't really fit with the rest of the mix, it is much to different from the rest of the mix. Maybe EQ some of that click out so it blends in more, or try a different sample. Also what'd you do to the snare it sounds like you put some "lo-fi" filter/EQ or something over it? It kind of fit the mix. Guitars and cymbals could be turned up a bit I'd say, they seem a bit "distant". Vocals sound pretty good it's just that you have in the front the kick, snare and vocals, and much further in the back guitar and cymbals (I hope that makes sense).

thanks for the input. I've lowered all the drums equally then lowered the kick a bit more and raised the overheads. also lowered the snare just a bit i think it blends better now, but i guess the more i will think of it more improvements can be made.

I've also noticed that the bounce volume is too low, what are the recommended loudness levels for final output and the best way to achieve it? (dunno if I'm making myself understood correctly, but im a noob)

Ok, made some adjustments and this is my final mix for now. If this was more serious work I would have to treat with a lot more detail each element, the bass for instance with require a lot of work to be more tight, but I think this is ok for now as a demo/collaborative track.

I love the vibe man! Good fun. The higher pitched screams seem like they could use more Deessing, it's pretty SSSSSy at the moment. Otherwise, again, I love the vibe :)
