Help reducing fizz from VH100R

I brought this amp a little while ago used, and I like it a lot, however the amount of fizz it produces is really holding it back.

Now this could be several things I think....

My weak ass pickups...
Pre-tubes...
Mega cold biasing...
Speakers... although it does sound fizzy through both the balls cab it came with and vintage 30's.
Lack of tightener.... IE Tube Screamer.

Anyone else having a similar sort of problem with theirs? I mean, its a good amp, just not quite where I want it to be.

it's a really fizzy amp. Try turning down the treble and use the presence control to add high end, it's less harsh. I also found that when the volume if around 4, the fizz goes away. It really needs to be played hard

ow yeah, FJA mods them to make the fizz go away
