I've been recording a band for the last month or so.. and FINALLY got to setup to record some guitars.. I've been very excited to do this because the guitars is using a Peavey 5150 tube amp with a very crunchy sound.. it's going to sound great if I can get the damn head to stop humming!
It hums even when the guitar isn't plugged in.. AND even w/ the clean channel..
Is this something that can be fixed? Any help would be appreciated.. I have to start recording tonight.. and If I can get rid of that god-aweful hum it'd save me a shit load of creative editing in post to hide it..
Cheers!
