i just got a new Asus a7v333 motherboard and its being a real bitch, it has problems starting windows when i start it up for the first time. i then installed my other one and it worked just fine...any ideas on why its fucking up?

Thanks!!

I would need a lot more information to make an even decent guess.....
Does it actually find the bootlog for windows and begin to start it up? Because if that's the case then you have a problem with the windows OS not your motherboard.....
which version are you installing?

You're trying to run two windows OS's?
Alright, considering that I still don't have that much information (in truth I'd probably have to see your comp or have you write an incredibly detailed discription of it)
I'm going to say that it sounds like you had problems when you first installed it. Config.sys is a system file that is essential for the operation or windows, so I'm assuming that it was bad when you recieved that message.
Try reinstalling it on the new MB again.
Also, windows XP fucking hates all of the other OS's.....older windows versions included. In fact, it doesn't even use a dos partition...
There may be some problems comming from that, though I doubt it because you said it worked on your older MB......Then again, you never know with X-fucking-P.
